about

[ITA]

e Nicola Manzan agli archi su The Invisible Wall, Livor Mortis e Let It Down.

[ENG]
Dirty White King, the latest LP from Captain Mantell,
moves on a darker and powerfull direction than the previous works of the trio.
It tells the story of a symbolic king murder using new recordings techniques and a cinematographic approach which
make this album sounding like an heavy soundtrack for a obscure film.

It's not easy to find a reference because this album sounds like
a mix of different inspirations melted together in a new strange way.

The darkness of the record is well described by the complex artwork of Seals Of Blackening.
The collaborations are two: Francesco Chimenti from Sycamore Age (vocals and cellos)
and Nicola Manzan from Bologna Violenta (strings).

Captain Mantell - Dirty White King is available from 2017 March 20

Track Name: Dirty White King
poisoned hooks
burning books
smoke and steam
across the scene
robbing brothers
raping sisters
freedom fake
compassion failed

fucking tricks
smell of shit
three eyed fish
a big bad trip
no more rules
lost in jules
no more time
to realize

dirty white king is on my way
dirty white king is on my way

one last trick
broken dreams
ultra shift
more to beat
no more rules
lost in jules
no more time
to realize

dirty white king is on my way
dirty white king I'm on your way
Track Name: The Invisible Wall
it's strange to find out everthing's fake today
I cross the line of the invisible wall you made
the things you tell me, they sound always like the same

I decide not to trust in your words today
your interests behind are washing my rights away
I cross the line of the invisible wall you made
the things you tell me, they sound always like the same
well you know after all I can say
the colour of my truth is still bright

I don't believe in what you say
you won't make my life a lie
everything, everyone is fake
I just won't let it be again

the colour of my truth is still bright
Track Name: Stuck In The Middle Ages
I won't give up
I seat and stare
watch they're coming
ok it's the day
this bloody riot
leads me to hell
the charge is that I'm stuck
in the middle ages

just tell me what to say
-what I should say-
if i was a better man

what do you want
to let me safe
don't make me suffer
that's my last prayer
suck all the blood
out of my bones
don't say that we were stuck
in the middle ages

just tell me what to do
-what i should do-
if i was a better man

just tell me what I should say
if i was a better man
Track Name: Worst Case Scenario / Alone
"Alone" is a poem by Edgar Allan Poe
(read by Tom O'Bedlam)

from childhoodís hour I have not been
as others were I have not seen
as others saw I could not bring
my passions from a common spring
from the same source I have not taken
my sorrow I could not awaken
my heart to joy at the same tone
and all I lovíd I lovíd alone
then in my childhood in the dawn
of a most stormy life was drawn
from evíry depth of good and ill
the mystery which binds me still
from the torrent, or the fountain
from the red cliff of the mountain
from the sun that íround me rollíd
in its autumn tint of gold
from the lightning in the sky
as it passíd me flying by
from the thunder, and the storm
and the cloud that took the form
(when the rest of Heaven was blue)
of a demon in my view
Track Name: Blood Freezing
try another last time
tell me I should stay
dirty mothafucker
you won't win again
what I might wish to you
I can even tell
regain your deeper nightmare
you should pray for that 'cause

ready? here I am with all my hate
that is son of the disgrace
you have taken all over the place
ready? here I am to break your chains
blood freezing into your veins
like it was an old refrain

someone has to pay
for the damage done
and I think it's you
you the only one
c'mon waste your last words
there's nothing you can tell
not a word or a crying prayer
to save your fucking head 'cause

ready? here I am with all my hate
that is son of the disgrace
you have taken all over the place
ready? here I am to break your chains
blood freezing into your veins
like it was an old refrain

don't look so surprised
ready? here i come
Track Name: Let It Down
come here lonely nightmare
the same feel as it seems
a life time spent in darkness
enough time to let me down

bring me to the ocean and leave the ground
hiding in the loom of night
lead me where we cannot touch the ground
time has come, let it down
let it down

farewell lowly highness
the same fool as it seems a fool again
we spent a life time living lifeless
enough time to let me down

bring me to the ocean and leave the ground
rowing in the dead of night
lead me where we cannot touch the ground
time has come to let it down

bring me to the ocean and leave the ground
hiding in the gloom of night
lead me where we cannot touch the ground
time has come, let it down
let it down
Track Name: Inner Forest
feel the strain through your skin
this voice calling from the blue
fear those demons on your back
run like hell run like hell

trees on my path, the fields of my past
are growing the wood to my gallows
sweet evergreens lead my stride
concealing my pass to those willows

it's coming on the longer night
a forest is not enough to hide

it's been a while
but we have nothing to talk about
it's been so wild
but we have nothing to talk about

it's coming on the longer night
a forest is not enough to hide
Track Name: Days Of Doom
walk and learn in evil days, insulted days,
days of death and oppression, depression

days of blue
days of doom
days of murder
and sacrifice
days of effort
days of cold
days of heat
when murders die
days of cold when you're hot
(days of white when you're black)
days of heat when you're cold
(days of hate when you're in love)
days of blue
days of doom
days of murder

I fight best in the shade of a cloud of arrows
I fight best in the shade of doom
cause you fight best yes you fight best
right deep in the shade of a cloud of arrows
Track Name: In The Dog Graveyard
sickened by the knell of the graveyard bell
now I know exactly how's your hell
keep your hands on your ears
hold your breath until it comes the end
there should be always an easy way out
but not now

not now, not here
not for you, not for me
when the bell's ringing
that's the end singing
in the dog graveyard

say nothing without wasting a word
they have been a thousand times
and I still feel the same
there should be always an easy way out
but not now, not now

not now, not here
not you, not me
when the bell's ringing
that's the end singing
in the dog graveyard

time takes care of the wound
but it can't heal this
space is nothing when you are everywhere
there should be always an easy way out
but not now, not now
Track Name: And Nothing More To Come... Maybe
riding a world I can't recognize
still in the crowd I am all alone
tied and forced down in a flashing light
nobody cares about who I am

tied and locked up in a room of hell
all I can think about is the next
dreaming of a red liquid cloudy sky
forgetting just what I think I am

hooded and led to the hopeless end
I realize that I'm not afraid
my eyes adjust to the blinding light
blade sweep away all I ever had

forget what I was
forget what I did
it means nothing
nothing that worths
some time to remember
I tried to change the world
I failed
but the world didn't change me
it only.. yeah it just ended me
quitted me, killed me
and nothing more to come
...maybe
